At Ian Grant Inc. we believe it is our responsibility as humans to give back to help those less fortunate and in those in need. To meet this need Ian Grant Inc. has setup a service division designed specifically to provide help to charities/businesses impacted by Covid19 by offering photography to help them tell their visual story. It is our goal to offer our photographic services as a gift to two charities/businesses every quarter. If you know of anyone in need in Western Canada have them reach out and call/text Ian at 780.908.8960. Below are some of the organizations that I have had the pleasure of working with to help tell their visual story.
Pilgrim Hospice Staff Headshots
I had another chance to visit Pilgrims Hospice again, this time to capture their staff headshots. I made use of one of their counseling rooms to set up as a small studio and had a great time meeting the staff as they came in for their photo. I have really enjoyed this instance of giving back to community and helping them tell their story.
Memphis Blues
What a blast I had with James and his family capturing images for his Memphis Blues Restaurant for him to use in his social media marketing. Memphis Blues is my second of two organizations referred to me that have been impacted by Covid19 and needed help visually.
During our shoot James asked if they could have some family photos taken without masks so he’d have them on file for when we come out from under this Covid cloud. His little guy is six months old and is growing fast so he and his wife wanted some pics showing him at his present age. He was great to work with and gave me about 20 min of his attention. In one instance he puked. I pushed the shutter to capture the Kodak moment and came away with this out-take. When I saw it in production I had to laugh for I think all of us as parents have experienced that same moment. The expression on his mom’s face is priceless and tells it all. I just had to share hoping that it would bring a smile to your face like it did to mine – enjoy!
Pilgrims Hospice Society
I was fortunate enough to be referred to Pilgrims Hospice Society and asked to help them tell their story visually of their newly constructed hospice space. This is a state-of-the art facility that not only has (12) residents rooms and nursing station but downstairs has rooms for day programs, meetings and art studios. The Pilgrims Hospice is the first standalone facility in Edmonton enabling them to provide compassionate care for individuals living with a terminal illness enhancing their lives from diagnosis to passing.
Recovery Acres
I had the pleasure of working with Garage Productions Inc. capturing images for Recovery Acres. Situated in Edmonton, Recovery Acres provides residential treatment in a safe and sober living environment for men with a history of addiction who are motivated to change.
